Worcester County residents Ralph Whitney Jr., of Upton, and Paul Morris, of Leicester, both claimed their lottery prizes in late March, Massachusetts Lottery reported.

Whitney won his prize in the lottery's "The Fastest Road to $1 Million” instant ticket game, the lottery said.

The mechanic purchased his ticket at Honey Farms, located at 113 Main St. in Upton, after he went there to help his wife when her car broke down there, according to the announcement.

Morris won his prize in the “Massachusetts Millionaires’ Club” instant ticket game, Massachusetts Lottery said.

His ticket was purchased at Crossroads Marketplace, which is located at 1060 Main St. in Leicester.

Both men chose to receive their prizes as a single payment of $650,000 before taxes, the lottery reported.
